NFHA Presents MALE SUMMIT 2007
“UNDERSTANDING the Man in You”

The Niagara Falls Housing Authority will present MALE SUMMIT 2007 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2007 at the Doris W. Jones Family Resource Building, 3001 Ninth Street.
The theme for the annual event is “UNDERSTANDING the Man in You.” Designed for males ages 12 to adult, the purpose of the event is to empower manhood, encourage self-respect as well as educate and prepare participants for challenges that face them. Guest speaker is Dr. Raphael Heaggans, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Niagara University.
Workshops include:

Live Beyond Intimidation Detective Carl Cain, Niagara Falls Police Department
When I Was a Child Mark Laurie, Chief Administrator, Niagara Falls High School
World of Computers Kara Olidge, Manager, ATTAIN Lab
Don’t Waste Your Life David Blackburn, Director of Multi-Cultural Student Affairs, Niagara University
New this year Workshops offered to Middle School males to include: Self Control, Responsibilities, Relationships, Anger, Conversation, Humility, Faith, Forgiveness, Adversity, Gratitude and Finances. Presenters are Senator Antoine Thompson and Ken Robinson of Buffalo State College.
