Learn Microsoft programs at the ATTAIN Lab

- The
Niagara Falls Housing Authority’s ATTAIN Lab is now offering free
four-week Microsoft computer training courses at the Doris W. Jones Family
Resource Building, 3001 Ninth Street.
Participants will become proficient on the Microsoft program
through hands on training and instruction during the course.
Microsoft Word Workshop:
Registration is from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 1. The class schedule is
Monday to Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. from May 8 to June 1.
Microsoft Excel Workshop:
Registration is from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 2. The class schedule is
Monday to Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. from May 8 to June 1.
Microsoft PowerPoint Workshop:
Registration is from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 3. The class schedule
is Monday to Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. from May 8 to June 1.
The free job training courses offered this spring at the
Advanced Technology Training and Information Networking Lab are the Customer
Service and Office Worker and Security Officer Training. The GED Program
and senior computer classes are ongoing.
Customer Service & Office Worker Course: This course
is designed to provide basic skills instruction including service etiquette,
customer service skills, basic filing procedures, information systems
and record duplication. Registration is from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, May 1.
The class schedule is Monday to Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. from May 8 to
June 1.
Security Officer Training:
The training class pre-assignment and cultural awareness program covers
ethics and conduct, legal powers and limitations, and communicating and
understanding the changing cultural and racial nature of our population.
Registration is from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 2. The class schedule is
from 4 to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday, from May 8 to June 1.
