ABOUT US
The
Niagara Falls Housing Authority is a not-for-profit mid-sized public housing
agency located in Niagara Falls, New York. In existence for more than
60 years, the Niagara Falls Housing Authority serves the
low to very-low income population in the City of Niagara Falls. Our short
sleeve mission is simply, “People and Possibilities.” The
Niagara Falls Housing Authority owns and operates 849 public housing units
within five communities: Harry S. Jordan Gardens, Center Court, Packard
Court, Anthony Spallino Towers and Henry E. Wrobel Towers.
The
Niagara Falls Housing Authority also operates two community facilities
– the Packard Court Community center, 4300 Pine Avenue, Niagara
Falls and the Doris W. Jones Family Resource Building, 3001 Ninth Street,
Niagara Falls.
Built
in 1991 and expanded in 1996, the Doris W. Jones Family Resource Building
consists of 32,000 square feet and includes a gymnasium, multi-purpose
rooms, kitchen areas, office space, outdoor tennis court, banquet hall,
library, Advanced Technology Training and Information Networking computer
lab, and a 226-seat theater. It is also home to the Mount St. Mary’s
Neighborhood Health Center, which offers individualized health care services
for people of all ages, a Universal Pre-Kindergarten class, the Niagara
Falls Alternative School, which is an extension of BOCES and the Niagara
Falls City School District. It is also home to the Mount St. Mary’s

The
Packard Court Community Center is a state-of-the-art facility completed
in April 2001. At 14,313 square feet, this building hosts a Universal
Pre-Kindergarten, library, gymnasium, full service kitchen, shower and
locker rooms, three multi-purpose rooms, computer lab and office space.
The
Niagara Falls Housing Authority strives to create future leaders in our
community. Extensive after school and summer enrichment programs are offered
to our residents and the nearby youth. Numerous self-sufficiency programming
including a variety of job training options and financial literacy also
are offered.
